The Stanković Ballet Company, Inc. is a New York City-based, 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization founded in 2003 by actress/dancer/choreographer/producer, Suzana Stanković, to further the art of dance-theater and to inspire audiences from all walks of life to look within and live full out. SBC's goal is to create and present life-affirming dance-theater that transcends style and trend and speaks directly to our shared humanity; work that celebrates the power and breadth of the human spirit and our inborn potential for creativity, self-determination, healing and expression. SBC has received generous support from the onset- enabling it to produce and present Suzana's work consistently and without interruption in New York City

During the years 2008 and 2009 the company paused to assess long-term plans, expand its focus and set the foundation for multi-faceted success and greater impact in the world. During this time, Suzana took independent artistic risks and as a solo artist-producer, created and premiered fearless new work receiving enthusiastic praise and interest from the media, industry professionals and audiences alike.

Suzana is an entrepreneurial creative force and a born leader. She has been choreographing dances in her head and making things happen from out of nowhere, since the age of 16. Her artistic vision and natural business sense are the spirit of SBC. She is actively involved in every aspect of the company, from the artistic to the financial, and personally thanks each and every supporter. Her work is a labor of tremendous love-- for life, art and humanity. For her work onstage and inspirational live-your-dreams message, Suzana has been featured in,, The Art Times Journal, Performing Arts Insider and where her new show was the featured New York City event in March 2010. Suzana has also received praise in The Village Voice and San Francisco Chronicle. To read reviews of her work and learn all about her, please visit:

Suzana is deeply grateful to SBC's supporters and the highly skilled cast, crew, volunteers and administrative assistants she has worked with over the years, their wages made possible by individuals like you. In the months and years to come, audiences can expect ambitious output from Suzana and company. Please check back as we expand our new website. Thank you.

End-of-Year Acknowledgment List for 2010 will be posted in January, 2011.
